Downloads


These settings are effective when files are received.

  1. Login to the Binfer management console.
  2. Click the top right menu > SETTINGS > DOWNLOADS
  3. Folder naming structure: Effective only when files are received in the default location. If any job provides a default location, then that location will take effect.
    1. Include my Id: When checked, the userid of the job creator will be included in the download path.
    2. Job folder name: Various formats the job name will be included in the download path.
  4. Version Control: OVERWRITE: If the same file is received again, then this option will replace the previous file. BACKUP: If the same file is received again, then this option will first create a copy of the previous files and then replace the file.
  5. Abandon receive after 5 fails: If for some reason a file fails to be received after 5 attempts, then Binfer will abandon it and continue with downloading the next file in the queue.
  6. NAS Mappings: Copy and paste the NAS mapping command. This command is added to a file in the system directory/Binfer/Conf folder. On Windows machines the file will be called startup.bat and on Linux machines the file will be called startup.sh. The startup file is executed once on system start. Click the REMOVE NAS MAPPING button to clear the contents of the startup file.
  7. Click the SAVE button to save the changes.
