Install Clients


Prerequisites

  1. The system admin should have access to the “binfer-client.exe” installer and the device where it is being installed.
  2. Ensure the device you are installing Binfer on meets the minimum systems requirement.
  3. If any other Binfer software applications have been installed on your device in the past, ensure those applications have been completely closed out and uninstalled before proceeding.
  4. Ensure the device has been added into the server instance that it is connecting to, and download the corresponding PC file onto the device you are installing Binfer's client on

If any of the above prerequisites cannot be met, contact your Binfer representative for further guidance. 

Binfer Client Installation Walkthrough

  1. Ensure that prerequisite steps have been completed.
  2. Download the “binfer-client.exe” installed to the device.
  3. Right-click on the “binfer-client.exe” installer and select “Run as Administrator”.
  4. Enter admin password to launch. The Binfer Server Setup Wizard will appear.
  5. Walk through the wizard setup process.

Click "Next" to begin

Agree to License Agreement

Provide the necessary client information, each field is explained in detail below.

PC FILE: This is the PC file generated by the Binfer server instance to connect the server and clients within a private cloud environment. For more information, please refer to the DEVICES documentation

PORT: Enter the port for the service to run on. Select any port that is available on the computer This port is used to transfer data.

This should be a valid port that is outside of dynamic port range.

DOWNLOAD LOCATION: This is the default directory data will land in

SYSTEM LOCATION: This is the directory Binfer will use to store configuration data for the instance

Enter the location where Binfer should be installed. Click "Install"

Click the “Finish” button to complete the installation process

Binfer client should now be installed on your system! Navigate to the Binfer Server UI that the client is connected to and confirm that the system has come online.
