Adding contacts in Binfer is as simple as typing in a friend's email. Those who have the Binfer app installed will appear on your homepage under the Online Contacts section. You will see their name, their device's name, and how much disk space is available on their device (so you don't send a file that is too large for receipt). Those who do not have the Binfer app will show up in your Contacts tab and your Address Book.
Important: Receiving parties do not need to have the Binfer app installed to receive Messages or send you files via the Web Drop feature.
Adding a Contact
- Open the Binfer app
- Click the Contact icon (resembles a person) on the top of the app
- Select the 'New Contact' option
- Enter the email of the person you wish to add as a contact
Importing Outlook Contact List
- Download a CSV file from your Outlook client
- Open the Binfer app
- Click the Contact icon (resembles a person) on the top of the app
- Select the 'Import Contacts' option
- Find the CSV file you obtained via your Outlook client and press Open
Tip: If you wish to import a contacts list from another email client, such as Gmail, make sure to export the contacts in an Outlook CSV format.
